Nerve lesions:
A 23-year-old man has suffered a fracture of the right humerus. On examination, he has extensor weakness of the wrist and metacarpophalangeal joints, which has resulted in wrist drop and inability to grip with his right hand. Extension of the elbow is preserved. There is also sensory loss over the dorsal aspect of the forearm from below the elbow extending to the 1st dorsal interosseous.
